The network cable with shielding function needs to pay special attention to the processing of the shielding layer when wiring to ensure the shielding effect. The following are the wiring steps for the network cable with shielding function:
Prepare tools and materials
Wire stripping pliers: used to remove the outer skin and shielding layer of the network cable.
Crimping pliers: used to press the crystal head to ensure that the wire core is tightly connected to the crystal head.
Shielded crystal head: crystal head with metal shell, used to connect the shielded network cable.
Network cable: a network cable with a shielding layer.
Side cable meter (optional): used to test whether the network cable connection is successful.
Stripping wire
Use wire stripping pliers to peel off about 1.5 cm of the outer skin of the mesh cable, taking care not to damage the inner core and shielding layer.
After peeling off the outer skin, gently organize the shielding layer so that it is not loose.
Third, finishing the wire core
Gently bend the cores to align them neatly.
If it is a double shielded network cable, you also need to divide the cores into two groups (each group of four lines) and sort them by color. The usual sorting method is T568B line sequence: white orange, orange, white green, blue, white blue, green, white brown, brown.
Fourth, connect the shielding layer
Connect the shielding layer (aluminum foil layer or woven mesh layer) to the metal shell of the crystal head. Note that one side of the aluminum foil layer is often overplastic (non-conductive), test it before pressing the crystal head, or use only the shielding mesh metal shell.
Make sure that every link of the shield is connected to each other and to the grounding system. This can be achieved by observing whether the interface of the network device or socket has a reed. The reed allows the socket to touch the metal shield on the shielded RJ45 plug, so that the shield is connected as a loop.
Insert the crystal head
Insert the sorted wire core into the jack of the crystal head in color order.
Make sure that each wire can be plugged in and does not loosen.
Six, pressing the crystal head
Put the crystal head with the core plugged in into the crimping pliers.
Squeeze firmly to ensure that the crystal head is tightly connected to the wire core.
Check the connection
Check whether the connection between the crystal head and the wire core is firm.
Check for leaking wires or loose cores.
If a problem is found, you can reconnect.
Eight, grounding treatment
The shielded cable must have a good grounding system. If there are only neutral and live wires, without ground wires, the shielded wire will not work.
The grounding system can direct the external interference signal to the earth through the diversion ground wire.
Test connection
Use the side cable meter to test whether the network cable connection is successful.
If the indicator lights are blinking from 1 to 8, there is no problem with the connection.
Through the above steps, the network cable with shielding function can be successfully connected. It should be noted that special care should be taken during the wiring process to avoid damage to the shielding layer and wire core. At the same time, ensure the electrical continuity of the shielding layer to ensure the shielding effect.
