Classification according to international standards (classification according to ITU-T recommendations) G standard: single-mode fiber and multimode fiber
Note: ITU-T: International Telecommunication Union
Optical Fiber Types can be divided into:
G.651 optical fiber (50/125μm multimode graded-index fiber) G.652 optical fiber (non-dispersion-shifted fiber) G.653 optical fiber (dispersion-shifted fiber DSF)
G.654 optical fiber (cut-off wavelength-shifted fiber) G.655 optical fiber (non-zero dispersion-shifted fiber)
In order to adapt to the development needs of new technologies, G.652 optical fiber has been further divided into three subcategories: G.652A, G.652B, and G.652C.
G.655 optical fiber has also been further divided into two subcategories: G.655A and G.655B.
According to the IEC standard classification, the IEC standard divides the types of optical fibers into
A-type multimode optical fiber:
A1a multimode optical fiber (50/125μm multimode optical fiber) A1b multimode optical fiber (62.5/125μm multimode optical fiber)
A1d multimode optical fiber (100/140μm multimode optical fiber)
B-type single-mode optical fiber:
B1.1 corresponds to G652 optical fiber, and B1.3 optical fiber is added to correspond to G652C optical fiber
B1.2 corresponds to G654 optical fiber
B2 optical fiber corresponds to G.653 optical fiber B4 optical fiber corresponds to G.655 optical fiber
