How to press the network cable

:2025-04-23

Pressing the network cable, that is, connecting the network cable to the crystal head, is a key step to ensure that the network is unobstructed. The following are the detailed steps and precautions for pressing the network cable:

  Prepare tools and materials

Mesh wire pliers: with wire stripping, cutting and pressing and other functions.

RJ-45 crystal head: used to connect network cables and equipment.

Network cable tester (optional): used to test whether the pressed network cable is connected correctly.

Network cable: Generally, five, five, six or higher standard twisted pairs are selected to meet the network requirements in different scenarios.

  Second, the operation steps

  Stripping:

Use the wire stripping port of the net pliers to peel off the outer skin of the net wire for a length, usually about 2 to 3 centimeters.

Stripping force should be moderate to avoid damage to the internal core.

  Line management:

Arrange the 8 cores in the network cable in sequence. According to the T568B standard (more commonly used), the line sequence is: white orange, orange, white green, blue, white blue, green, white brown, brown.

After arranging, use the wire cutting port of the wire pliers to cut the wires evenly to ensure that the length of each wire core is the same.

  Plug-in:

Gently insert the sequenced cores into the metal pins of the crystal head.

Note that the color of the wire core should correspond to the color marking on the crystal head pin.

When inserting, ensure that the wire core is fully inserted into the bottom of the crystal head to avoid exposure or skew.

  Crimping line:

Put the crystal head plugged into the wire core into the pressing port of the mesh pliers.

Press hard to ensure that the crystal head and the wire core are tightly connected without loosening or virtual connection.

  Test (optional):

Use the network cable tester to test the pressed network cable.

Check whether all wires are connected correctly. If the tester shows that all lights are on, it means that the network cable is successfully made; if any lights are not on or flashing, it needs to be checked and re-pressed.

  III. Precautions

Be patient and attentive: make sure every step is correct.

Keep clean: Keep hands and tools clean to avoid impurities affecting the quality of the connection.

Strictly follow the color order: When arranging wires, follow the color order strictly, otherwise it may cause network tranSMission problems.

Pay attention to strength: pay attention to strength when using crimping pliers to avoid damage to wires or connectors.

Through the above steps and precautions, you can successfully suppress high-quality network cables and ensure the smooth flow of network communication.
