Depending on the support of your infrastructure, you can choose between NRZ or PAM4 modulation. NRZ modules are ideal for existing 100G QSFP28 infrastructures that support NRZ modulation, while PAM4 LR1 and ER1 modules are better suited for network environments with PAM4 modulation and RS (544,514) FEC technology.
