The connection steps of the fiber end point box and the fiber patch cable are as follows:
Prepare tools and materials
Fiber end point box: Select the appropriate fiber end point box to ensure that its internal structure and connector type meet the requirements.
Fiber optic jumpers: According to the equipment to be connected, prepare the corresponding fiber optic jumpers to ensure that the length, type and connector type of the jumpers match the end point box and equipment.
Tools: fiber peeling pliers, fiber cutters, fiber cleaning tools (such as cleaning pens), fiber fusion splicer (if required), cable ties or fixing clips, etc.
Second, the connection steps of the fiber end point box
Fiber preparation: Use fiber stripping pliers to remove the outer skin of the fiber to expose the fiber core. Use a fiber cutter to cut the end face of the fiber to ensure that the cutting surface is flat and vertical.
Welding operation (if required): fuse the optical fiber with the reserved optical fiber in the end point box. Use the optical fiber welding machine to operate to ensure the quality of the fusion point. After the welding is completed, the fusion point is placed in the fusion protection sleeve for physical protection.
Connector preparation: According to the type of connector on the end point box (such as SC, LC, etc.), prepare the corresponding fiber optic connector.
Connector installation: Install the connector to the fiber end to ensure that the installation is firm and the fiber end face is clean.
III. Optical fiber jumper connection steps
Clean the fiber optic connector: Before connecting, use a fiber optic cleaning tool to clean the end face of the fiber optic connector to remove dust and stains.
Jumper Preparation: Verify that the connector type at both ends of the fiber optic jumper matches the connector type of the device port and end point box.
Insert connector: Insert one end of the fiber patch cable into the connector of the end point box to ensure that the connection is firm and the fiber end face is clean. Likewise, insert the other end into the fiber port of the device.
Check Connections: Verify that the Fiber Patch Cords are securely connected to the end point box and device port and are not loose.
IV. Fiber optic management
Use the fiber manager or fiber tray frame inside the end point box to fix the excess fiber in an orderly manner to avoid excessive bending or stress on the fiber.
Fix the fiber patch cable and fiber end point box together with cable ties or fixing clips to ensure the stability and reliability of the connection.
V. Cleaning and inspection
Use a fiber optic cleaning tool to clean all fiber optic end faces again to ensure the cleanliness of the connectors and fiber optic end faces.
Use optical power meters or OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer) and other testing equipment to check the loss and performance of the fiber optic link to ensure that the connection is correct.
Label management
Label each fiber port and jumper on the end point box, including information such as fiber type, connection location, device name, etc., for easy management and maintenance.
Following the above steps can ensure the correct connection and efficient tranSMission of the fiber optic end point box and fiber optic jumper. During operation, be sure to wear appropriate protective equipment, such as gloves, to prevent grease on your hands from contaminating the fiber optic end face. If you are not familiar with fiber optic wiring operation, it is recommended to seek professional help.
